Electronic Flying Insect Machines are designed kill common types of flying insects using ultra-violet bulbs, an electrified grid protected by a front grille and a catchment tray to collect the contents of flying insects that have been electrocuted. These machines are designed to be left on continually and are merely a control measure for the flies and insects which may have breached physical barriers, such as fly screen doors or windows or chain and strip curtains.
Care and consideration must be taken when fitting any insect extermination machines such as these to ensure that you get the most out of controlling insect pests. For example, siting a machine above an area where you might prepare or serve food would not be advisable due to the risk of contamination from falling debris such as dead or dying insects, dust or other pollutants. The bulbs for these electronic machines must be changed annually to ensure UV light output is working to its maximum capacity.
